Hormones & Performance

% Free Testosterone

This ratio tells you how much of your total testosterone is free and bioavailable—meaning not bound to SHBG or albumin, and actually able to interact with androgen receptors. You can have “normal” total testosterone but still feel off if your free fraction is low. This metric helps spot high SHBG, poor hormone bioavailability, or androgen resistance, and is key for assessing true hormonal function.
