Apolipoprotein A-1

ApoA1 is the main protein in HDL (the “good” cholesterol) and plays a key role in clearing cholesterol from your arteries. It helps shuttle cholesterol back to the liver for recycling or disposal—a process called reverse cholesterol transport. Higher ApoA1 means better cardiovascular protection, improved lipid balance, and potentially lower inflammation. It's more predictive than HDL alone, especially in people with metabolic dysfunction.
