Creatinine
Creatinine is a byproduct of muscle metabolism that’s cleared by your kidneys. It’s used to estimate eGFR and kidney function. High levels can indicate reduced filtration, dehydration, or very high muscle mass. Low levels may reflect low muscle mass or under-eating. It’s a solid marker for kidney health, recovery, and how your body handles high protein, creatine, and training load.
