Lipoprotein(a)

Lipoprotein(a) is a genetically driven cholesterol particle that behaves a lot like LDL, but with added stickiness. It increases the risk of atherosclerosis, blood clots, and heart disease, especially when paired with other lipids like high ApoB or low HDL. You can’t lower it much with lifestyle alone, which makes it a powerful long-term risk marker. If your Lp(a) is high, the strategy becomes reducing inflammation, oxidative stress, and overall ApoB particle burden.
