C-Peptide is a marker of insulin production — it’s released in equal amounts when your pancreas makes insulin. Since insulin is tough to measure accurately due to fluctuations and rapid clearance, C-Peptide gives a cleaner signal of how much your body is working to manage blood sugar. High C-Peptide means your body is pumping out insulin (possible early insulin resistance); low means your pancreas isn’t producing much, which could signal burnout or dysfunction.
